Heated transportDB SCHENKERsystem and -directThis service must be booked on each occasion and beapproved by DB Schenker. Heated transport refers to transportof goods frost-free. The transport instructions and allitems included the consignment must be marked with aseparate label. When printing out transport instructionsfrom an EDI file, text is on a par with a label. In the caseof heated transport, a reservation is made for times in thetimetable.A 25% surcharge per consignment is added to the normalprice list.International: Heated transport can be undertaken tocertain countries following separate agreement. Contactyour nearest DB Schenker office for further information.The waybill and all items included in the consignment mustbe marked with a separate label.Goods insuranceDB SCHENKERsystem, -direct, -coldsped, -parcel and-hangartnerGoods insurance that offers the best compensation inthe event of damage is recommended, particularly forinternational transport. Goods insurance can be taken outthrough DB Schenker either by the seller of the goods orthe purchaser depending on the delivery clause agreedbetween them. Goods insurance is a relatively cheap wayof safeguarding the value of your goods during transportand storage.For transport booked via EDI a special field is completedwhen goods insurance is required. For international transportthe insurable value must also be stated as the value ofthe goods plus the estimated freight cost plus 10%. For otherbookings, separate instructions are given to DB Schenker’spersonnel stating that goods insurance is required.For transport in Sweden the premium is SEK 290 (2010)for goods up to a maximum value of SEK 400,000 withthe exception of the following goods categories for whichinsurance must be ordered separately as other termsand conditions apply: Unwrapped goods, gold, silver andprecious stones, tobacco, wines and spirits, works of artand antiques, weapons, ammunition, pre-owned propertyand removal goods, mobile telephones and accessories formobile telephones.For international road transport the premium for 2010is normally 0.19% of the insurable value but for breakable/theft-pronegoods the premium is 0.25%, minimumSEK 200/consignment. The higher premium applies tophotographic parcels, office machinery, laboratory equipment,optical parcels, radio and TV equipment, woodwork,clocks, more exclusive and more expensive parcels ofclothing, models, musical instruments, furniture (not dismantled),weapons, ammunition, bicycles, machine goodscontaining sensitive parts, such as electronics.Insurance for the following goods categories must beordered separately as other terms and conditions apply:Unwrapped goods, gold, silver and precious stones,tobacco, wines and spirits, works of art and antiques, preownedproperty and removal goods, mobile telephones andaccessories for mobile telephones, cars, boats, glassware,porcelain, enamelware, ceramics, tiles, marble, sanitaryware, cooling and heating goods, live animals, plants, freshproduce, metal cupboards, white goods, returned goodsand computer equipment.22

ForDB SCHENKERhangartner the currency and price situationon June 30, 2010 shall apply. Adjustments are subsequentlyare made on a monthly basis and vary from country tocountry. Depending on the currency and oil prices trend,a freight surcharge or deduction is made. The Euro–Shelland SEB spot prices are used as a base.DB SCHENKERparcelCurrency and fuel surcharges, international:Currency and fuel surcharges are payable and adjustedcontinuously each month. There is also a surchargeof 33% of the transport price in the case of consignmentsto/from Gotland.The level of this surcharge could change in the event ofdecisions that are beyond the control of DB Schenker.Port charge (international)DB SCHENKERsystem, -direct and coldspedAn additional port charge is valid for Finland, Englandand Ireland.Home Delivery (domestic)DB SCHENKERsystem and -parcelContact details are compulsory in order to notify theconsignee.In the case of Home Delivery, all consignments are notifiedby text message or telephone and consequently a mobiletelephone number and landline number must always begiven. For deliveries to private individuals, an additionalsurcharge is payable per consignment according to theweight ranges and prices stated below.23
