Understanding the control panel & printer controls Albatros PJ-1304NX Operation Instructions PRINT POSITION ADJUSTMENT: MEDIA FEED AMOUNT This is used to print an adjustment pattern and specify an adjustment parameter for media feed amount. Range: [95.00% to 100.00% to 105.00%] (0.05% steps) Adjustment pattern printing and parameter specification When media feed amount adjustment pattern printing has been selected, after the adjustment pattern has been printed, the feed error is measured and an adjustment parameter is specified. Step 1: * Online * Ready to Print * Position Adj. * Repeatability > * Position Adj. * Feed Amount > * Position Adj. * Feed Amount > * Feed Amount * Adj. Pattern Print > PREV. Key : Cancel ENTER Key: Feed PTN * Feed > Print * Processing & printing Press ENTER Key After Check Amount * Feed > Parameter * From the online status display, press the [POSITION ADJ] key to shift to the Position Adjustment menu. Step 2: Press the [NEXT/+] or [LAST/-] keys to select “Feed Amount” from the two options of “Repeatability” and “Feed Amount” on the position Adjustment menu. Step 3: Press the [ENTER] key to confirm Feed Amount. Step 4: Press the [NEXT/+] or [LAST/-] keys to select “Adj. Pattern Print” from the two options of “Adj. Pattern Print” and “Parameter” on the media feed amount adjustment menu. Step 5: Press the [ENTER] key to confirm the adjustment pattern print. Step 6: After confirming the details, press the [ENTER] key to execute the adjustment pattern print. If the adjustment pattern is not to be printed, press the [PREVIOUS] key. Step 7: While the adjustment pattern is being printed, the display is as follows. Step 8: After the media feed adjustment pattern has finished being printed, a message requesting checking appears. Press the [ENTER] key. Step 9: Checking is based on measuring the feed error in the printed result. Press the [NEXT/+] or [LAST/-] keys to enter the amount that is considered to be the feed error. Step 11: After confirming the details, press the [ONLINE] key. Step 12: Online status is restored. Media feed adjustment pattern sample print A total of seven adjustment patterns are printed with offset parameters of 0.10%, 0.25% and 0.50% either side of the current value in the center. A suitable feed error is determined on the basis of these printing results. If there is no ideal result in the print, enter the closest suitable value as the parameter and print another adjustment pattern to determine the optimum feed error.
