This memorandum standardizes the cadre work areas, classrooms, gym and outside area forthe NCO Academy. It addresses the standard of cleanliness and maintenance of all areas, toinclude procedures for signing for and/or turn in of these areas.2. Setup all classrooms in a small group instructional setting (enclosure 1).a. If the class goes to a large group, setup in a horseshoe shape (enclosure 2).b. Place the 2 drawer file cabinet with the back against the wall (the higher side) in the cornerof the room straight across from the door. Place the telephone, visitor's book, and bulletin bookon the file cabinet with the visitor's chair next to it.c. Two dry erase markers and one eraser must be on each white-board tray. One bottle of drymarker board cleaner will be in the tray on the large whiteboard. Do not place any kind of tapeon the whiteboards or any surface in the classroom.d. If the windows are closed, the blinds must be down. The blinds may be opened or closed.Leave the bottom of the blind at the top of the open window while the window is open. At theend of the day, all windows must be closed and all blinds drawn down with the front edge of theblind down.e. Display the bulletin board as shown in the diagram (enclosure 3).3. Below is a list of cleanliness and maintenance standards for all classrooms.a. Classrooms must be maintained in accordance with cleanup checklist (enclosure 4).b. Chairs must be placed on top of the table with the legs up.c. Senior SGLs will monitor their classrooms daily to ensure compliance with thesestandards.
