D-53Further confirmation of the global change of Earth's climate at the time of theTapanui Explosion originates from migrations of people and animals through the BeringStrait. These migrations suggest that shortly before the Tapanui explosion there was a dryconnection (via ice) between Siberia and Alaska. This connection melted just after 1178.One of numerous suggestions of its existence is contained in the following quotationoriginating from the book by H. H. Lamb "Climate: present, past and future", Volume 2:Climatic history and the future (Methen & Co., Ltd., London 1977, ISBN 0-416-11540-3,page 248): "The first great spread of Eskimo activity over all the far northern regions seemsto have coincided with the early medieval warm epoch. Ellesmere Land was first occupiedabout A.D. 900, and about the same period Eskimo culture was spreading from the BeringSea westwards in the Siberian Arctic and out to the New Siberian Islands. During theeleventh century the Thule culture spread along the coastal areas from Alaska to northGreenland." Although the above quotation does not say it directly, it implies that Eskimopeople were freely crossing Bering Strait at that time; with their lack of sea skills this wasonly possible via ice. It is also worth mentioning that the "warm epoch" which Lamb refers towas recorded in Europe and, because of the absence of historic data, it was simplyassumed to extend to Bering Strait - even though at that time a "cold epoch" must prevailthere (how otherwise could an ice bridge link Siberia and Alaska).Further evidence of the global impact of the Tapanui Explosion is indicated by datacontained in the article by Bjon L d en "Mesa Verde Zagadka Pustyni" (i.e. "Mesa Verde apuzzle of the desert") published in the Polish Journal "Nie z tej ziemi", no 4, December1990, pages 2 to 3. This article states that, according to archaeological research, stonytownships of Mesa Verde in Arizona, USA, were abandoned by their citizens, "Anasazes",about the year 1200. The reason was supposedly a drastic climate change appearing in thispoint of time, which caused a permanent drought to prevail in the previously fertile highlandplate of Mesa Verde, depriving the Anasazes their sources of food. The global climatechange can also explain some puzzling archaeological findings concerning South-Americancivilizations, the dating of which coincides with the Tapanui explosion. The climatic changes of such global extent surely exerted a negative influence on thehealth and behaviour of people living at that time. Therefore it is not a coincidence that thecentury directly following the Tapanui explosion has been described by some researchersas, quote: "It was a terrible century, with the Black Death halving the population of manydistricts of Europe and desperate peasants in revolt in France and England." (From thebook by Felix G. Sulman, "Short and Long Term Changes in Climate", Volume II, page 112,CRC Press, Inc., Boca Raton, Florida, 1982.)D3. The author's hypothesis that the Tapanui explosion rotated the Earth's crustFacts presented in the previous subsection, plus many more, indicate that globalclimatic changes caused by the Tapanui Explosion had a permanent effect. This in turncertifies that the factor directly responsible for such changes would also need to bepermanent. Realizing the above prompted the author to propose a working hypothesiswhich states: "The Tapanui explosion permanently tilted the Earth's crust by about 7-degrees in relation to the Earth's rotational axis from the position occupied by this crustbefore the year 1178". What this hypothesis says is that before the year 1178 Earth's NorthPole was located near the co-ordinates: 169 E and 83 N. The explosion rotated the Earth'scrust so that the North Pole shifted to its present location. This resulted in Greenlandfreezing, the Bering Strait melting, Korea and Japan warming up, New Zealand drasticallycooling, the climate in Asia, Western Africa and North America changing, Europe toexperience a "Little Ice Age", and much more. The author's explanation for the mechanism released by the Tapanui explosionwhich caused the resultant tilt of the Earth's poles is as follows. The magnetic energy
