He was Dean of Engineering and VicePrincipal at the University of Pretoria. He was ManagingDirector of the Laboratory for Advanced Engineering.■ Chabani Noel Manganyi is Vice Principal of theUniversity of Pretoria. He has been Vice-Chancellor ofthe University of the North and Director-General in theDepartment of Education.■ Thabane Vincent Maphai is Chairman of BHP BillitonSA and formely Corporate Affairs Director of South AfricanBreweries and non-Executive Chair of Castle Brewing,Namibia. He was appointed Professor at the University ofCape Town.
