Education ServicesA:lmelhawtxw Early Learning Centre)DaycareA total of 20 children were enrolled in the 3-5year old program and 10 children were enrolledin the infant-toddler program. Six children werewaitlisted.The Daycare continues to offer a world ofNobody’s Perfect Gradsamazing Early Childhood experiences. Eachday, the children participate in activities that helpguide and support their individual learning. By offering the Halq’emeylem language they areable to learn basic concepts and skills. Fol<strong>lo</strong>wing the Stó:lō traditional calendar, as well asEarly Learning themes, the children learn about their environment as well as their identity.Headstart Preschool and Family ProgramThe Preschool offers classes for the 3 and 4year olds. The Centre is unique because it offersthe Halqe’meylem language as well as the Stó:lō traditions. The children learn about thetraditional calendar and current Early Learningthemes. The Centre also had the opportunity oftwo Elder’s experienced as language educators.Throughout the year the Headstart offers sixcomponents and have Guest Speakers from theEarly learning interactive fun!community sharing their knowledge and/orinformation with the families.
