07 COMPLETING THE <strong>GST</strong> LABELS ON YOUR ACTIVITY STATEMENTRemember to remove <strong>GST</strong> from the amount you reportat G10 if you are using the accounts method and havechosen to show <strong>your</strong> amounts as <strong>GST</strong>-exclusive.If you have imported capital items for <strong>your</strong> business, referto ‘Purchases and importations with special rules’ on page 30for information about other amounts to report at G10.For more information about purchases of capitalitems, refer to:n <strong>GST</strong> and motor vehiclesn <strong>GST</strong> and the disposal of capital assetsn <strong>GST</strong> credits for businessFor more information about quoting <strong>your</strong> ABN onan importation of a luxury car, refer to Luxury car tax(NAT 3394).Purchases for $1,000 or lessG10 (and G11) require you to separately report <strong>your</strong> capital andnon-capital purchases. If you already record these purchasesseparately in <strong>your</strong> records, use this existing breakdown to fillin the G10 and G11 labels. If you do not record capital andnon‐capital purchases separately and <strong>your</strong> <strong>GST</strong> turnover isexpected to be less than $1 million then:n you only need to record capital items costing more than$1,000 at G10 (capital purchases)n capital and non capital items costing $1,000 or less canbe recorded at G11 (non-capital purchases).28
