In a specificapplication, namely predicting users’ preference in movies, we use this method and try tomake improvements by using extra information of users and movies. Algorithms are used tocompute the similarity of users and movies and amplify their relation. It is reasonable for usto believe that users of the same gender may be influenced by the same type of features, andmovies of the same type may have similar values in the same features. Therefore, this extrainformation may be used to emphasize the similarity between the behavior of similar usersand the similarity between features of similar movies.45
