However, due to rapid growth in power demand ofelectronic devices and the increasing interest in electric vehicles, the electrochemicalperformance of commercially available LIBs need to be further improved in terms of powerand energy densities, safety and service life. ZnMn 2 O 4 has attracted much attention as theelectrode material for LIBs due to its high theoretical capacity and environmental friendliness.Electrospinning has been widely used to prepare metal oxide fibres as anode. In this study,ZnMn 2 O 4 nanofibres are synthesized via electrospining and their electrochemicalcharacteristics are evaluated.Digital Image Correlation Method for Full-field DeformationMeasurementAdvisor : YE Wenjing / MECHStudent : CAI Yaxiong / MECH(UROP1100, Fall 2010)In order to investigate the complex deformation of porous solids under dynamic loading, acombination of two measurement methods, namely the Digital Image Correlation (DIC)method and the strain gauge measurement are proposed. Experiments are conducted tocompare and evaluate the performance of the two methods. A high speed camera withmicro-lens is used to measure the wave propagation inside porous material, and the resultsshows that the DIC method can be used to measure full-field deformation under dynamicloading.56
