Forexample, when s<strong>and</strong>y loam material overlies siltyclay material, the horizons <strong>of</strong> silty clay areprefixed by the numerals "II". <strong>The</strong> numerals II, III,<strong>and</strong> TV have been applied to some soil horizonsdescribed in Volume 2 <strong>of</strong> this report.
