1. MOTION TO APPROVE THE USAGE OF THE BARNEGAT HIGH
SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD BY THE JUNIOR BENGALS ON
NOVEMBER 3, 2007 FOR FOOTBALL GAMES.
Motion to approve the usage of the Barnegat High School football field
on November 3, 2007 by the Barnegat Junior Bengal’s for football games.
The Bengal’s will be responsible to pay for a scoreboard keeper and an
event staff at the current rate of pay. ($40.00 per game for scorekeeper
and $40.00 per game for the event staff).
3. MOTION TO APPROVE THE USAGE OF THE BARNEGAT HIGH
SCHOOL TRACK BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
Motion to approve the usage of the Barnegat High School track by the
general public provided the following rules for the usage are followed:
No one allowed on the fields, field use by permit only, no dogs, no
smoking, no alcohol, when using the tennis courts- the same rules as
previously stated along with no skateboards and no rollerblading.
SUPERINTENDENT COMMENTS:
Mrs. Mitchell: Dr. McMahon, anything else?
Dr. McMahon: Yes, I just want to make a comment over the last number of weeks and
with some comments this evening that this organization that you see being the Barnegat
Township School District is a $50,000,000 financial organization. I think it has one of
the most important roles to fill and that is educating children. Sometimes people come
across with different ways to do it, different ways to spend money but I would just like to
commend, you know, we talk about having a clean audit, and making sure your payments
are made and people talk about myself and Mr. Falkowski, there is ten people behind us
that really do a lot of the work as well. When you talk about the academics of the
students and the students succeeding or the athletic programs succeeding, sometimes
people have a tendency to talk about the negative, but you know what there is a large
organization here of coaches, teachers that do an admirable job day in and day out and I
just want to make sure that as they read some articles or talk to some people and hear
public comments, they can assure from me and I am sure I reflect a lot of the Board
