Mold Cleaning Processes There are many cleaning processes thatcan be done in mold cleanup:Vacuuming (hopefully HEPA or equivalent)Dust magnet clothsCleaning with liquid cleanersCoating (encapsulating) moldy material.Removing layers (sanding); etc. I find that I cannot recommendanything but the first three.VacuumingVacuuming is an excellent way to remove drydirt deposits (not damp or wet).It takes a fair bit of time for dirt particles tomove to the vacuum nozzle. Vacuuming toofast may result in inferior cleaningUsing a HEPA vacuum cleaner that exhaustsindoors may not be the best way to go.Using a Shop Vac cleaner that is outdoors anda long extension works better than the muchmore expensive HEPA vacuum. The Shop Vac should be fitted with a “drywalldust” filter to protect neighbours.
