Washing Washing with a surfactant in water is aneffective way of cleaning most surfaces,if done properly. As taught in cleaning courses, cleaningof walls should be started at the bottomand move upward.Washing Rags or sponges should be wrung into adirty-water container. The worker should leave the ‘soapy’water in place long enough for thesurfactant to work. Excess water should be mopped upquickly.
