Public performances are presented. Theory,history, rehearsal and performance <strong>of</strong> music in the Latin Jazz idiomis included. A conjunto (smaller ensemble) typically consists <strong>of</strong> 3-5hours, a rhythm section, timbales, congas, bongos, hand percussionists,and an optional vocalist. Instructional trips are required.
