Payment by check,cash or money order may be made directly to the Student AccountsOffice. Unless otherwise indicated, all checks shall be made payableto <strong>Shippensburg</strong> <strong>University</strong>. Payments by electronic check andcredit card (Master Card, Discover, American Express) may also bemade on line through the Student Information System at my.ship.edu.Credit card payments are subject to a 2.5 percent convenience fee.There is no charge for payment by e-check. Do not send cash by mail.Semester Payments DueFirst early AugustSecond mid-DecemberThe above dates are subject to change.Delinquent AccountsIf your account is not paid in full, you will not be permitted to enrollfor classes, graduate, or receive a diploma or transcript. Accountsdelinquent for 90 days are turned over to the Pennsylvania AttorneyGeneral for collection.Pennsylvania Resident TuitionA tuition fee of $429 per credit will be charged to graduatestudents who are Pennsylvania residents. In-state graduate studentstaking undergraduate courses are also charged the grad rate of $429per credit.Out-of-State Student Tuition<strong>Graduate</strong> students whose legal residence is not in the state ofPennsylvania pay a tuition fee of $644 per credit. Out-of-state graduatestudents taking undergraduate courses also pay a fee of $644 percredit hour.NOTE: The tuition amounts are valid only through the summer of2013.FeesSemester FeesAll fees are subject to change without notice.Technology Tuition FeeThis fee is established by the Board of Governors of the StateSystem of Higher Education. The purposes of the technology tuitionfee are: (1) to acquire, install, and maintain up-to-date and emergingtechnologies for the purpose of enhancing student-learningoutcomes; (2) to provide equitable access to technology resources;and (3) to ensure that State System graduates are competitive in thetechnologically sophisticated workplace.The technology tuition fee is not a user fee, but is instead a feepaid by all students according to their residency status (in-state/outof-state).Currently (2012-13), the technology tuition fee for in-stategraduate students is $21 per credit and for out-of-state graduate studentsis $31 per credit. The technology tuition fee is non-refundable.Student Union FeeState law and policies of the Board of Governors of the PennsylvaniaState System of Higher Education require the cost of constructingthe original Ceddia Union Building and its addition be paid bystudents enrolled at the university. This fee is applicable to all fullandpart-time students, both graduate and undergraduate, duringboth regular semesters and summer sessions, in accordance with thefollowing schedule established by the <strong>University</strong> Council of Trustees:Regular Semesters<strong>Graduate</strong> per credit $22Summer Sessions<strong>Graduate</strong> per credit $15The Student Union Fee is refundable based on the schedule in thesection Refunds.Educational Services FeeThis fee provides instructional and library supplies and equipment.It is charged to all students in all semesters and sessions in accordancewith the following schedule:Regular Semesters<strong>Graduate</strong> per credit $67Summer Sessions<strong>Graduate</strong> per credit $67This fee is refundable according to the schedule in the sectionRefunds.Comprehensive Health FeeAll graduate students must pay a Comprehensive Health Fee of$13 per credit. During the summer sessions, the graduate comprehensivehealth fee is $9 per credit hour.Activities FeeThe Activities Fee is required of all graduate students attendingsummer sessions. The fee covers the cost of supporting student organizationsin athletics, lectures, entertainment, and publications. Thisfee is $14 per credit hour.Special FeesAll fees are subject to change without notice.Application FeeA fee of $40 is charged when you first apply for graduate study at<strong>Shippensburg</strong> <strong>University</strong>. The application fee is not refundable andis not credited toward course fees. A fee of $15 is charged for nondegreeapplicants.If you do not begin your graduate study within one year of beingadmitted, you will need to pay an additional fee to apply again.Late Payment FeeIf you submit your semester bill payment after the bill due date,you will be subject to a late payment fee of $100. All semester billsmust be paid or cleared on line prior to the bill due date to avoid thelate fee.Graduation FeeA fee of $50 must be paid at the time you apply for graduation.This fee covers the cost of processing your application and preparingyour diploma.Miller Analogies Test FeeA fee of $75 is required of all persons who take the Miller AnalogiesTest.26
