Coupling Ring ApplicationIn the network, there may have more than one X-Ring group. Using the coupling ringfunction can connect each X-Ring for redundant backup. It can ensure the transmissionsbetween two ring groups not to fail. The following figure is a sample of coupling ringapplication.Dual Homing ApplicationDual Homing function is to prevent the connection breaking from between X-Ring groupand upper level/core switch. Assign two ports to be the Dual Homing port that is thebackup port in an X-Ring group. The Dual Homing function works only when the X-Ringfunction is active.
