Of these, 40% are attributed tocardiovascular diseases and 26% are attributed tocancers.Healthcare systemJJThe healthcare system is funded through a mix ofstatutory (90%) and private (10%) health insurance.JJGermany has high standards in healthcare provisionand a high density of doctors and hospitals.Reimbursement policiesJJThere are no reimbursement levels; all approvedprescription medications are fully reimbursed, butpatients have to pay a flat fee per prescription of10% of the price of the drug, between €5 and €10.Since 2006, some cheap generics are free fromco-payment.JJDoctors are budgeted and obliged to prescribecheap generic drugs where possible.
