Youare responsible for checking whether restrictions apply to your item. Where possible, we haveincluded information on restrictions for individual countries on our website, www.nzpost.co.nz,but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information.Required postageRequired postage is GST zero-rated. However, if you want to use stamps as the paymentmethod for your item, GST will be added to the required postage. The minimum chargeableweight for an International Express Courier parcel is 500g. Rolls and tubes are charged asparcels.Documents are charged at special fixed weight breaks up to 1kg. Merchandise items anddocuments weighing more than 1kg are charged in 10g increments.<strong>Post</strong>age determined by actual or volumetric weightUnless sending in International Express Courier packaging (plastic envelopes), which arecharged at actual weight, you will be charged the greater of:the actual weight of your item as determined by our scales (measured in 10gincrements); orthe volumetric weight of your item (measured in 10g increments).To calculate volumetric weight (kg), measure the item’s height (m) x length (m) x thickness (m)and multiply this by 200, e.g. (0.5m x 0.4m x 0.3m) x 200 = 12kg.Return ofundeliverable itemsUndeliverable items will be returned to you or destroyed according to the instructions you havegiven on the Consignment Note. If you want the item returned to you, you agree to pay us thefull cost of returning the item (this may be equal to, or more than, the original cost of sendingthe item). Refer to the Consignment Note for further details.PackagingPackaging of your item is your responsibility. International Express packaging (plasticenvelopes) is available for <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong> Account customers only, and is free of charge.You may be liable to pay for damage to other senders' items or our or others’ equipment ifinadequate packaging of your item caused the damage, or if the contents were prohibitedunder our terms and conditions.Prohibited andRestricted itemsSpecial conditions apply to Prohibited and Restricted items.
