Zakres wykonywanych badańwynika z cech charakterystycznych (zjadliwość, charakterendemiczny i epidemiczny, lekooporność) drobnoustrojóworaz zaleceń i rekomendacji środowisk szpitalnych różnychspecjalności.Key words: Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, HBV, Treponema pallidum, Streptococcus agalactiae, StreptococcuspyogenesSłowa kluczowe: Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, HBV, Treponema pallidum, Streptococcus agalactiae, StreptococcuspyogenesINTRODUCTIONA micro<strong>biological</strong> screening applied on the day ofadmitting a patient to the hospital gives measurableprofits resulting from identification of a carrier of infectioncaused by alert pathogens.Such a diagnosis of epidemiological situation enablesapplication of suitable action plan by implementationof patient’s isolation depending on infectiontransmission <strong>and</strong> possible application of evidencebasedantibiotic therapy.An examination performed during the first day ofpatient’s presence in a hospital facilitates correct qualificationof infection <strong>and</strong> consequently makes it easierto avoid patient’s claims in a court.The effectiveness of implemented examinationst<strong>and</strong>ard <strong>and</strong> more precisely the range of examinationsincluded in the st<strong>and</strong>ard is temporarily verified <strong>and</strong>evaluated by the Committee of Hospital InfectionControl.
