The first scenario, acontinuation of Business as Usual (BAU), would cause Thailand’seconomy to continue to decline relative to most other Asian nations.Furthermore, economic disparities within Thailand would continueto widen. The other scenario, called Meaningful Broadband, wouldboost Thailand’s competitive advantage in ASEAN well into 21 stcentury and produce a growth model that would lessen gapsbetween rich and poor. A broadband-enabled Thai economy wouldrelease pent-up demand for interactive learning and creativeentrepreneurship in the majority population.
