FIGHT, TRADE AND RACE RANKSThere are various ranks that can be achieved for proving yourself both in combat and trading. There are also insignia that can be worn on your uniform to show your rank to your fellowcombatants/traders.Although there are many ranks available and some insignia may cover more than one rank, the insignia adorned will show others what level of ability they have achieved. The Argonpreferred way is to wear the Trade insignia on the left arm and the Combat insignia on theright; as easy to remember as “Right for Fight”. You will find that certain jobs available atstations will only be available to pilots with the appropriate skill level.Progress of Ranks for success in TradingX-TREMEPan-Galactic TycoonTycoonSuper-MagnateMagnateMogulCapitalistMaster IndustrialistIndustrialistManufacturerMaster EconomistEconomistMaster BrokerBrokerFinancierPetty FinancierWholesalerMerchantRetailerPetty RetailerEntrepreneurMaster DealerDealerTraderApprentice TraderVendorPetty VendorHawkerProfiteerJourneymanOpportunistProgress of Ranks for success in FightingX-TREMEHeroLegendOverlordConquerorBattlemasterCrusaderWarlordVindicatorAssassinWarriorMilitantMaster ChiefFighter ChiefSpecialistInstructorProfessionalEagle EyeSharpshooterMarksmanVeteranFighterSkilledGraduateCompetentTraineeRookieNoviceGreenhornNuisanceHarmlessIt is illegal in all known space to advertise and actively supply jobs to a lower rank as thelocalised Guild representative rates jobs before they go on view. Some aredeserts while others are icy wastes. The planet Argon Prime isheart of the Federation and is the residence of the governmentand all administration. It is also one of the most exciting planetsin the X Universe. As well as being the home of culture, science and learning, it is also home to the finestentertainments. In addition housing the finest geodesic holidayhomes it also has thousands of bars, restaurants, theatres, casinos, hologramic cinemas, holiday villas, everything in factthat makes it the finest rest and recreation centre in any knownuniverse. The Argon Federation is governed by an elected parliament, with each city colony and space station represented bysenators elected by their own people. The leader of the ArgonParliament is called President. Currently a male Argon calledFrann Herron holds this position.Argon ShipsThe Argon create the most balanced ships and you can see the Boron influence that mirrorstheir joint development. When you buy an Argon ship you have a good all-round versatileship. But as the Argon do not share the peaceful Boron nature they also use, together withthe Split, the Mass Driver Gattling gun. The Argon developed this weapon according to olddocuments and the Split were so impressed they paid immense licence fees for their ownmanufacture. With the development of the Nova, the successor to the ageing Elite, the Argon was the firstrace to install a rear turret into a heavy fighter. All other races except the Split followed thisnew design in due course. The use of technologically advanced shipyards enabled them tostrengthen and increase shield capacity, together with engine performance. When in the pastyou may have laughed about the old Elite, it is a different story now. She is still one of theslowest heavy fighters but her firepower will quickly silence any critics. Similar changes alsotook place with the Buster and a new type of ship, the Argon Centaur Corvette, was alsointroduced.BORON88Knight of the KingdomKing's ProtectorateKing's KnightQueen's ProtectorateQueen's KnightQueen's GuardNoble PeerTrusted CourtierAccepted FriendFriendAcquaintanceAntagonistConfirmed AdversaryEnemy of MenelausQueen's NemesisEnemy of the KingdomThroughout the X Universe the Boron’s are famous for their wisdom, wealth and for the sophistication of their space ships. These ships area shimmering green colour with powerful engines that show a whitelight and are among the fastest and most manoeuvrable ships in theuniverse. They are also armed with very sophisticated weapons anddefensive shields and, with the exception of the Argon, are the bestspacecraft in the universe.Despite being members of the Foundation Guild and holding a strongalliance with the Argon, because of their peaceful nature the Boronare friends to all races in the X Universe. They currently hold tradingagreements with the both the Teladi and the Paranid, however theyare still very wary of the Split and relationships between the two racesare very strained. The Boron have no direct contact with the Xenon, however, as alliesof the Argon, they are very much aware of them and of the dangers they present.
