Development <strong>Studies</strong> (continued)Social SciencesMSc in Economics for DevelopmentThis MSc is a one-year specialist degree concerned with theeconomics <strong>of</strong> developing countries and is taught jointly withthe Department <strong>of</strong> Economics (www.econ.ox.ac.uk). Thecourse covers modern economic theory and econometricsand their application across a wide range <strong>of</strong> topics central toeconomic development. The degree aims to place forced migration in historical,global and human context. Somestudents employ the MSc GGD as preparation for DPhil workand academic careers.Certificate/Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic <strong>Studies</strong>This one-year course is designed for diplomats in the early tomiddle years <strong>of</strong> their career. Students who successfully completethe course may receive a Postgraduate Diploma or a Certificate inDiplomatic <strong>Studies</strong>, according to the level <strong>of</strong> study.
