<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>Rob Judgesϐϐ<strong>Graduate</strong> accommodationCollege accommodationDetails <strong>of</strong> the type and availability <strong>of</strong>accommodation <strong>of</strong>fered by colleges can befound in each college’s entry, pp. 156–201.<strong>University</strong> accommodationIf you are not <strong>of</strong>fered accommodation byyour college or they are unable to provide thetype <strong>of</strong> housing you need you should contactthe Accommodation Office who let andmanage 475 residential units for the benefit<strong>of</strong> graduate students and, if required, theirpartners and families. If you are a graduatestudent and have a partner, they do not haveto be a student to enable the Office to helpwith accommodation. Units are on 7 sites in orclose to the centre <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>. If you think thatyou might want to consider university housingat some point during your time in <strong>Oxford</strong> thenconsider applying at once. You do not needto decide whether or not to accept an <strong>of</strong>feruntil it is made and by being on our waitinglist you increase your potential options foraccommodation.Properties25 Wellington Square and AnnexeThis centrally located building has 91 singlestudy bedrooms, one studio and three onebedflats for couples. 132/133 Walton Streetis managed as an annexe to 25 WellingtonSquare and comprises a further 13 studybedrooms.Court Place HouseThis property is about three miles from thecentre <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong> and lies between Iffley andRose Hill. The 36 houses for couples andfamilies on this site were built in the grounds<strong>of</strong> Court Place Mansion which now houses 11single students in individual study bedrooms.49 Banbury RoadThis is a period property within a few minuteswalk <strong>of</strong> the city centre which accommodatesnine single graduates.Summertown HouseThis property is two miles north <strong>of</strong> the citycentre close to Summertown shopping centre.There are 133 flats at Summertown Housefor couples and families comprising <strong>of</strong> studio,one, two and three bedroom units arranged inthree blocks set in extensive grounds. Abouta third <strong>of</strong> the units have been completelyrefurbished in the last four years. Some <strong>of</strong>the studio flats are also available for singlestudents. The Mansion (the original building)houses eight study bedrooms. There is anursery attached.Alan Bullock CloseThis property lies just over Magdalen Bridgeabout half a mile east <strong>of</strong> the city centre. Theproperty comprises 46 flats <strong>of</strong> varying sizesfor couples and families which are arrangedin two blocks on a landscaped site next to atributary <strong>of</strong> the river and Angel Meadow.Castle MillThis property is situated on the Botley Road,just past the Railway station, and consists<strong>of</strong> 11 studio, 32 one-bedroomed and 17two-bedroomed apartments and 65 en-suiterooms.Private accommodationIf <strong>University</strong> accommodation is notimmediately available, the Office has lists <strong>of</strong> alltypes <strong>of</strong> accommodation in the private sectoravailable to let to students and, if applicable,their partners and/or children.
