Appendix Asecond evaluation was done three years into the program and indicated that: 1) trainees provided positivefeedback about the curriculum components; 2) the program was seen as different from other suicide preventionprograms in that it provided experiential learning and addressed the personal reactions of caregivers; and3) caregivers were using support from the Department of Health and Social Services, and they requestedongoing support from the department. Caregivers also indicated that they were connecting with other suicideprevention caregivers and that they wanted to be integrated into community groups. The NTSPT programhas also been evaluated and listed as a “best practice” in several reviews of prevention programs.121
