Nancy Persons announced the upcoming library database presentations. Contact Nancy forfurther information at # 2425.2. Rosemary reported that the English Challenge Exam for students is available only on the<strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Rosa</strong> Campus. She is investigating the resources necessary to accommodate studentsin Petaluma, and asked for faculty feedback.3. Nikona mentioned the Newman Cultural grant and encouraged faculty to apply.Karen Peterson reported that she would be submitting an application.4. Rosemary reminded those present that we need a Petaluma representative to the staffdevelopment and PDA planning committee. Nancy Persons agreed to consider serving onthis committee.5. Nikona reported that the United Way representative has asked to make a presentation inPetaluma. There was consensus that the PFF meeting time would not be the appropriatevenue.6. Nikona acknowledged the CIS department for hosting refreshments for this meeting.7. Nikona welcomed Cheryl Dunn back to campus, and offered our condolences on the loss ofher father.MINUTES:The revised Minutes from May 14 th , 20<strong>03</strong> were approved.The minutes from August 26, 20<strong>03</strong> were approvedREPORTS:1. Academic Senate - Breck presented copies of the September 17, 20<strong>03</strong> <strong>Agenda</strong>. Hehighlighted the discussions concerning Petaluma Phase II as part of the Academic SenateGoals, especially the relationship to curriculum development. He also outlined the “consent”items regarding changes to the Quick Curriculum Guide. Breck stated that the academic senateis exploring questions regarding advisory and voting members of the curriculum committee.For questions, comments, or further information. Please email Breck or Mary Pierce.2. Student Services - Rosemary reported that there is a mid-October deadline for students toreceive priority registration. Spring’04 closures for many CSU campuses will have an impacton SRJC students who were denied admission.13
