MINUTES: Approved as presented.2. PLANNING QUESTIONS: Deborah Sweitzer requested that we add “Fifteen WeekSemester Proposal” to the list of future topics for IPC to discuss.3. PLANNING COMMITTEE COORDINATION:• Academic Senate—Discussed/ heard reports on the Faculty StaffingCommittee, the Quick Curriculum Guide, student learning outcomes, andthe process by which policies go to the Board of Trustees; approved therevision of the policy on reasonable accommodation.• Budget Advisory Committee—No report.• District Facilities Planning Committee—No report.• Educational Planning and Coordinating—Discussed/heard reports on theAcademic Calendar, the Quick Curriculum Guide, and the Student LearningOutcomes Initiative. Continued reviewing the Accreditation Self Studyplanning statements (Standard 4).• Strategic Enrollment Planning Committee—Approved StEP Goals for 20<strong>03</strong>-04(distributed to IPC); heard a report by KC Boatman on the StEP dataelements.4. SB 338: CONCURRENT ENROLMENT UPDATE: Ricardo Navarrettedistributed/explained a summary of the impacts on SRJC of this bill, which, amongother things, limits concurrent enrollments in physical education year around andlimits concurrent enrollment in all disciplines in the summer. IPC agreed that it isimportant that the public understands that SRJC still welcomes concurrentlyenrolled students in spite of the limitations.5. BUDGET UPDATE: Ron Root distributed a “First Look at FY 2004/05,” indicating thatwe may need an 18% increase in state funds compared to our funding level in this2
