1. Planning Assumptions:a). Except for construction transition facilities, all temporary facilities will bevacated and removed from the <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Rosa</strong> Campus by 2008 withoccupants moved into new and/or expanded facilities.b) <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Rosa</strong> Campus capacity will be planned at the 2002-20<strong>03</strong> FTESenrollment plus <strong>10</strong>% through and including 2008-2009.c). Petaluma planning to proceed with the expectation that the campus willnot add additional acreage beyond the existing 40 acres.d). Should the statewide general obligation bond fail during 2004, PetalumaPhase II may not be funded until the State passes a general obligationbond measure that fully funds its share (assumed 2006 or 2008 election).Should it not pass in 2006, the <strong>College</strong> may need to re-evaluate thePetaluma Phase II funding options.e). Academic Affairs and Student Services will co-locate student orientedprograms into facilities where the flexibility of functional space will bemaximized.f). Where and whenever possible, facilities project planning will createcomplimentary program adjacencies. All project planning will emphasizeflexible, multi-use facilities.g). Planning at all college sites will accentuate “quality of life” includingsufficient “green space,” pedestrian pathways that are logical, attractiveand safe.h). Doyle Center will be expanded as a multi-level structure primarily servingstudent program functions and other college program support officeneeds.i). Plover conversion project will continue to be the primary Student ServicesCenter and in combination with Doyle Center will serve as the <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Rosa</strong>Campus centralized Student Services location.j). Future North County Education Center land acquisition anticipates 25 to40 acres.k). Future West County Education Center land acquisition anticipates 5 to 20Acres.l) Future expansion for additional laboratory and office space at the PublicSafety Training Center will be limited.m) <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Rosa</strong> Campus will return to its heritage facilities collegiate gothicarchitectural theme.
