Refer to Appendix C 1 for a copyand proof of the newspaper advertisements;The I&AP database will be maintained and updated throughout the project and will be used to notifyI&APs of the availability of reports for public review.3.1.1 Host Communities/Traditional AuthorityThe nearest neighbouring communities to the project include the villages of Ga-Ramosidi, Sefikileand Zwartklip which are situated on the mine surface lease area, while Mmantserra are situated inthe surrounding areas. Headmen of the different villages were contacted throughout all phases ofthe project to ensure that the villages are kept informed about the proposed development (AppendixC 7).Figure 3-1 illustrates the proximity of the local communities in relation to the AP & RPM (UnionSection JV) Mine.The villages of Mokgalwana, Disake, Matlametlo, and Matsinyane are also located in the MosesKotane Local Municipality.3.1.2 LandownersThe surface area that might be affected by the proposed projects and Title Deed description aregiven in Table 3-1.
