This is another way to alter the signal flow in a network.With set, you can change the name of the receive~ object, which causes receive~ to get itsinput from a different send~ object (or objects).Giving receive~ a new name changes its input• Click on the message box containing set sawtooth. Signal flow can be routed to differentdestinations, or shut off entirely, using the gate~ object, which is the MSP equivalent ofthe Max object gate.The cycle~ object can be used not only for periodic audio waves, but also for sub-audiocontrol functions: you can read through the waveform of a cycle~ object at any rate youwish, by keeping its frequency at 0 Hz and changing its phase continuously from 0 to 1.The line~ object is appropriate for changing the phase of a cycle~ waveform in this way,and phasor~ is also appropriate because it goes repeatedly from 0 to 1.The sig~ object converts a number to a constant signal; it receives a number in its inletand sends out a signal of that value.
