Chapter 2 – Quick StartQuick Start Setup1. Place the IM3004s on a level surface.2. Attach the AC power cord to the back of the IM3004s unit and to an electrical outlet.The voltage may be either 110v or 220v. The unit will automatically switch to useeither voltage.It is suggested to use a power surge protector.3. Connect a Monitor, Mouse and Keyboard to the unit’s Back Panel general purposeports (Fig. 7).4. Attach the SCSI data and power cables to the unit’s SCSI interface connectorslocated on the Top Panel. The data and power cables are keyed to avoid reversingconnections (Fig. 5).5. Connect the Source drive to the unit’s Source position, located on the Top Panel,near the front of the unit.6. Connect the Target drive(s) to the unit’s Target position(s) located on the Top Panel,near the back of the unit.7. Verify that the power supply toggle switch located on the unit’s Back Panel is in theON position (Fig. 6). Press the side of the switch with the closed symbol (—).8. Power ON the unit by pressing the unit’s Front Panel Power ON button.13
