Chapter 5 – Operational ProceduresTransferring Log InformationThe following section describes the procedure to transfer Log informationfrom the unit’s internal storage to an External USB Storage Device.1. Select the LOG Tab function, located in the Advanced Interface ControlConsole.2. Select “Copy Logs to a Removable Device”. A message will be displayedprompting the User to insert a USB Storage Device.3. Insert a USB Storage Device on one of the unit’s available USB general purposeports, located on the back of the unit. Select OK to continue.4. The USB Storage Device Volume will be mounted and the Device will be listed inthe Other Detected Drives Panel. Disregard the Windows AutoPlay prompt andwait for the prompt indicating Select Files to Copy. Select the Event Log andAudit file(s) to copy.NOTE: If the USB Device is not properly detected, remove the USB Device andrepeat steps 3-7.5. Select OPEN from the Select Files to Copy prompt, to continue.6. Select the destination folder on the USB Device to store the selected file(s) andselect OK to store the selected files.7. The USB Storage Device can be removed after the Device is removed from theOther Detected Drives Panel.33
Chapter 5 – Operational ProceduresRestoring IM3004s System Drive ContentsThe following instructions describes the procedure to restore the IM3004sSystem drive contents, if necessary.The following procedure describes the method to restore the IM3004s system drivecontents for units configured with a CD-ROM drive.1. Power OFF the IM3004s unit.2. Insert the IM3004s Recover Utility CD into the unit’s CD-ROM Drive.3. Power ON the IM3004s unit. The Recover process will start automatically. TheRecover process will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.The following procedure describes the method to restore the IM3004s system drivecontents for units configured with a DVD drive.1. Power OFF the IM3004s unit.2. Insert the IM3004s Restore DVD into the unit’s DVD Drive.3. Power ON the IM3004s unit. The Restore process will start automatically. TheRecover process will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.33
