The principalobjectives are to create employmentopportunities and to mitigate theadverse effects of the volatility of theprices of our main commodities andexport earnings on the economy.As the nation progressed, industrialdevelopment in Malaysia had taken ona more sophisticated dimensionattracting industries that relied on hightechnology, knowledge-based, capitalintensive and high value- addedactivities.TNB has directly contributed toMalaysia’s phenomenal industrialdevelopment since industrialisationprogramme was initiated. TNB’sextensive electrical network serves asone of the major factors in attractingforeign investments into Malaysia.It played a key role in ensuring stableand secure electricity supply and lightthe way forward for Malaysia’s pushtowards industrialization. Electricityinfrastructure growth which has beenregarded as indispensable to economicdevelopment now serves as the impetusand stimulus for greater growth andindustrialisation in Malaysia.
