TÜRK MÜZECİLİĞİNDE YENİ DÖNEM

MÜZE DERGİ: Bu ihaleden önce İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri konusunda daTÜRSAB ile bir iş birliği içine girmiştiniz. Bu deneyimden biraz bahsedebilirmisiniz?ERTUĞRUL GÜNAY: TÜRSAB ile ana sponsorluk anlaşması yapmıştık.TÜRSAB bizim dışımızda yasa ile kurulmuş tek turizm sorumlusu. Bu anlamdafarklı dernekler var, otelcilerin, rehberlerin, dernekleri var ama TÜRSAB yasaile kurulmuş bir örgütlenme ve çok yakın iş birliği içindeyiz. Bize getirdiklerikonular, bizim onlara götürdüğümüz konular, aynı alanda çalışan iki kurumundayanışma içinde olması bilinciyle yürütülüyor. Arkeoloji alanında çalışmalarımızabüyük destekler alıyoruz. Müzelerimizin, örenyerlerimizin düzeni konusundazaman zaman taleplerimiz oluyor. Birçok altyapı ihtiyacının giderilmesindeortak çalışmalarımız oldu... İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri alanında olduğu gibi bazıözel sözleşmeler yapıldı. Türkiye’de turizmin sadece klasik anlamda kalmaması,tarihe kültüre yönelmesi, hem bakanlığın prestiji, hem de Türkiye turizminingelişmesi açısından son derece önemlidir. Her iki kesim de bu bilinçle ve dayanışmaanlayışı içinde çalışıyor.businesses, tourist guides etc. But TÜRSAB is the legal representative organizationof all Turkish travel agencies. In such capacity, it has a vocation to standin close cooperation with our Ministry. We make proposals, we listen to theirproposals; both sides benefit immensely from this collaboration conducted ina spirit of solidarity. They support our endeavours in the field of archaeology.We formulate requests and seek advice from them concerning the system ofmuseums and historical sites. We also cooperate in the area of infrastructurerestoration... TÜRSAB, Türkiye’ye, müzeye gelen turisti getirmekten,taşımaktan sorumlu bir organizasyon. Bu alanın denetimini TÜRSAB-MTM İş Ortaklığı ile birlikte yaptığımız zaman, bizden habersiz bir kuş uçamaz.MÜZE DERGİ: Bu tip hizmet alım anlaşmaları bakanlığın iş yükünü hafifletiyormu?ERTUĞRUL GÜNAY: Müzelerde hizmet standardı son üç yılda ciddi biçimdeyükseliyor. Müzekart bir adımdı, müze mağazaları bir adımdı. Gişelerin modernizasyonubir adım. Ben biliyorum ki, gişeler emin ellerdedir, mağazalar emin ellerdedir,müzeler emin ellerdedir. Müzekart ile vatandaş rahatça gidip gelmektedir.Bizim işimiz daha çok müzeleri geleceğe sağlıklı biçimde taşımaya çalışmak.Şimdi onlarla meşgul olabiliyorum. Mesela Topkapı Sarayı’nın 3’üncü ve 4’üncüavlularında yürüttüğümüz restorasyon işlerimiz büyük ölçüde hızlandı.MÜZE DERGİ: Türkiye’nin kültür varlıklarının korunması kapsamında,TÜRSAB ile yaptığınız iş birliğine dair eklemek istedikleriniz var mı?ERTUĞRUL GÜNAY: Türkiye’de turizmin, toplumsal gelişme ve ekonomiaçısından temel bir sektör haline geldiğini görüyoruz. Turizmi klasik, bilinen vekolay sınırlarından dışarı taşıma ihtiyacı hissediyorum. O yüzden müzelerimizi,örenyerlerimizi, tarihi mekanlarımızı, tescilli kültürel yapılarımızı, doğal mekanlarımızıkorumak için yeni formüller arıyoruz. Bu projelerin arasında en önemlilerindenbiri de TÜRSAB ile yaptığımız iş birliğidir. Bizimle iş birliği yapan herkeseçok teşekkür ediyoruz.Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı ve TÜRSAB işbirliği ile oluşturulan ‘Müzekart Projesi’tanıtım toplantısından.From the introductory meeting for the “Museum Card” project developed under thecooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TÜRSAB.regarding the İstanbul Archaeological Museum. It is of outmost importancethat tourism in Turkey does not remain confined to a casual and shallowroutine, but develops itself more and more in the direction of tourism ofculture and history. This is significant from the vantage point of the prestige ofour Ministry as well as for the future of Turkish tourism industry. Both sidesshare these objectives and coordinate their work in this direction.MÜZE DERGİ: Do you think that the problem of illicit entries at museums canbe defeated through this business partnership?ERTUĞRUL GÜNAY: Yes, I do. TÜRSAB is an organization in charge ofbringing tourists to Turkey, also responsible for ensuring their access to themuseums. Therefore, since the supervision is assured through the cooperationbetween the Ministry and the TÜRSAB-MTM Business Partnership, thisproblem can be eradicated.MÜZE DERGİ: Do this kind of collaboration agreements alleviate the task of theMinistry of Culture and Tourism?ERTUĞRUL GÜNAY: The standard of the service at museums has beenconstantly upgraded within the last three years. The ‘Museum Card’ was animportant step forward, likewise, the ‘museum shops’. The modernization ofticket booths is yet another significant step. I am sure that the ticket booths, themuseum shops and the museums themselves are in good hands. The ‘MuseumCard’ system allows our people to visit easily museums and historical places.The mission of the Ministry is to assure the overall administration of themuseums with a view to preparing them for future challenges, such as wear andtear etc. It is now possible for me to devote more time to these necessary andvital tasks. For example, the restoration work we are conducting in the 3 rd and 4 thcourtyards of the Topkapı Palace is now moving on much faster.MÜZE DERGİ: Would you like to mention any other point pertaining to yourcooperation with TÜRSAB in the area of the conservation of Turkey’s culturalheritage?ERTUĞRUL GÜNAY: We realize that tourism has become a fundamentalsector in Turkey, as much for the economy as for social development. I feel theneed to go beyond the classical, ordinary and simple boundaries of the tourismbusiness. We are searching for new solutions as how to protect our museums,our historical sites, our architectural heritage, our natural spaces. In this context,our collaboration with TÜRSAB occupies a foremost place. We are grateful toeveryone who cooperates with us.17
