It gives you the feeling that, up until then, you failed torealize the grandeur and the richness of that treasure. Meanwhile,we are talking about a limited number of civilizations, not all ofthose who set foot here in Anatolia but only the greatest: the HittiteEmpire, the Persian Empire, the Empire of Alexander the Great, theMacedonian, the Roman Empire, the Eastern Roman Empire and theOttoman Empire...The magnificent exhibition at the İstanbul Museums of Archaeology,composed of various artefacts from several museums of different regionsof Anatolia, including giant marble statues, ancient coins, manuscripts,seals and many other articles, constitutes a real festival of history. The210 items displayed at this exhibition, organized with the assistance ofMinister of Culture and Tourism, Ertuğrul Günay, were selected from 16different museums, from 14 museums under the administration of theMinistry of Culture and Tourism, and 2 military museums under theadministration of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces.In the first section, the visitor is met by the Emperors of the HittiteEmpire who reigned 2000 B.C. over a large portion of Anatolia and partlyHadrianus Büyük İskender Alexander the Great Büyük Kostantin Constantine the Great Augustus51
