<strong>2010</strong> RULES & REGULATIONS45REGULATION MR-VMovement of Players and AffiliationsMR5.01(a)The Corporation will not approve a Junior playing certificate involving a player who has notattained his 16 th birthday prior to the first day of January in the season the player intendscompeting, unless said <strong>Ontario</strong> <strong>Lacrosse</strong> <strong>Association</strong> playing certificate is accompanied by aformal release signed by the authorized officials of his former team and signed by the Board ofDirectors. Infraction of the above will be subject to the penalties defined in Regulation R6.21.(See Regulation R6.11)MR5.01(b)A player over the age of sixteen (16) may not be signed by a Junior team from outside his ownresidential boundaries per the residence rule unless accompanied by a release signed by theauthorized officials of his former Junior team. (See Regulation R6.12)MR5.02(a)No player who is eligible by age for Bantam competition may play in any Junior, Senior or Majorcompetition (exhibition or league games). (See Regulation R6.13)MR5.02(b)A Midget age player may not play on a Major or Senior team.MR5.03(a)Affiliations:If a higher classification team in Junior is affiliated with a lower classification team, a copy of theregistered affiliation agreement involving the clubs concerned must be in the hands of theExecutive Director by May 31 st , signed by the Presidents and Secretaries of the teams involved.(See Regulation R7.02(a).)MR5.03(b)If an affiliation is not approved by the OLA both clubs involved will have two (2) weeks in which toarrange another affiliation agreement. Players used prior to the affiliation rejection will bedeemed to have played in the series on a non-affiliated basis. (See Regulation R7.02(b).)MR5.04A Junior team may affiliate with one Intermediate or one Midget team.1 Game Release-Affiliated TeamMR5.05Providing he has the written consent of his team, a player signed with an Intermediate or Midgetteam may play in a higher series with a team affiliated with his own. He may play unlimitednumber of games during the higher category team’s regular season. (See Regulation R7.07(a).)MR5.06If the affiliated team is in the same municipality (as recognized by the OLA) or if the team is theclosest such team, a player may play in FIFTEEN playoff games. (See Regulation R7.07(c))MR5.07No player may play in any playoff game with any team with which he is not a signed member,except with a team affiliated with his own, and only then, with the written permission of his teamsigned by the authorized officer. (See Regulation R7.08)
