British Debutante Ball at Waldorf Astoria

Debutante Ball was
held at Waldorf
Astoria Shanghai
on the Bund on
7 th January 2012.
Thirteen specially
invited young ladies
from the United
States, France,
United Kingdom and
Greater China made
their high-society
debut in the hotel’s
opulent marble halls.
An extension of
the traditions and
etiquettes of British
Debutante Balls
dating back to 1780, the Shanghai International Debutante Ball has
the full backing of authorities on British upper-class social culture,
and was overseen by official choreographers and directors of protocol.
Esteemed high-society leaders and former debutantes, Ms. Jennie
Hallam-Peel and Ms. Patricia Woodall, were the 2012 Ball’s Officiating
Guests of Honor.

Future Kitchen Award is given to i+o
Industrieplanung
During the Intergastra Fair in Stuttgart, the so-called Future Kitchen
Award was granted by the trade journal ‘Catering Management’
for the first time this year. In its area of approximately 120m 2 , the
professional exhibitor Catering Management granted the award
to i+o Consultants for their excellent performance in the planning
and implementation of an energy efficient industrial kitchen
designed for sustainability on Monday, 13 th February 2012. i+o
and its customer Oberoi Flight Services applied for this award and
were able to convince the jury of the future-oriented concept. First
place was awarded to the catering facility at the IGI (Indira Gandhi
International) airport.
