This training course introduces the cultural differences
between China and Germany, analyzes the background of these
differences and their root causes. It helps you avoid culture
conflicts during communication which are unacceptable for
Germans. You will become aware of your own communication
behaviour and learn how to communicate in the multi-cultural
environment.

Annual General Meeting and BoD Elections
The new Board of Directors (BoD) of the GCC • South & Southwest
China will be elected on Thursday, 12 th April 2012 in conjunction
with our Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event will be held in
Westin Pazhou, Guangzhou starting at 7pm. All eligible members
of the GCC • South & Southwest China are invited to attend the
AGM and may elect the new BoD either via online vote or during
the Election Day.
The new board will be composed of seven members, five of whom
may be elected. Please see the candidates for the 2012-14 term

Effective Email Writing
During this one-day workshop, participants will improve their
email writing skills and confidence. They will learn how to target
their language, style and tone towards different audiences in order
to create the most impact. They will be able to get their key points
across clearly and concisely, ensuring it is easy for the reader to
take action. They will also discover how to edit and proofread
their writing to avoid common mistakes. The workshop uses fun
and useful group activities to keep the participants engaged and
facilitate the learning transfer.
