Texas Trivets by Halsey<br />
Make your own Texas Trivet! Use special glazes to paint tiles to<br />
make your personal Texas statement. Day one, instructor will<br />
help you decide on the image and show you how to get different<br />
effects by applying the glazes in various ways - brushed,<br />
sponged, feathered, rolled. Let your imagination soar with the<br />
eagles. Day two, you'll assemble and grout your finished 9x13”;<br />
trivet. NOTE: Class on 3/20th is from 9-4pm. Class on 3/27th is<br />

The Authentic Western Figure in Oils<br />
Explore the qualities of composition, value and color while<br />
learning to paint from an authentic 'western' model. Enjoy the<br />
challenge and spontaneity of Alla Prima painting. The instructor<br />
places emphasis on contrast, rhythm and edges, as well as how<br />
to incorporate and integrate the figure into the background. You<br />
will also study the five steps of successful figure painting, drawing<br />
or capturing a likeness, value-creating form, temperature,<br />
capturing light and dark, lost and found edges and design. This<br />
course includes a power point demonstration, instructor demonstrations,<br />
and as much individual instruction as possible. This<br />
class is intended for intermediate and advanced students.<br />
NOTE: Class on 4/16 is 5:30-8:30pm. Classes on 4/17th and<br />
4/18th are 9-4pm.<br />
Instructor: Brigitte Woosley - Is a successful, award winning<br />
artist and instructor currently living in Hill Country. Has exhibited<br />
