Texas Trivets by Halsey
Make your own Texas Trivet! Use special glazes to paint tiles to
make your personal Texas statement. Day one, instructor will
help you decide on the image and show you how to get different
effects by applying the glazes in various ways - brushed,
sponged, feathered, rolled. Let your imagination soar with the
eagles. Day two, you'll assemble and grout your finished 9x13”;
trivet. NOTE: Class on 3/20th is from 9-4pm. Class on 3/27th is
from 9-12pm.

The Authentic Western Figure in Oils
Explore the qualities of composition, value and color while
learning to paint from an authentic 'western' model. Enjoy the
challenge and spontaneity of Alla Prima painting. The instructor
places emphasis on contrast, rhythm and edges, as well as how
to incorporate and integrate the figure into the background. You
will also study the five steps of successful figure painting, drawing
or capturing a likeness, value-creating form, temperature,
capturing light and dark, lost and found edges and design. This
course includes a power point demonstration, instructor demonstrations,
and as much individual instruction as possible. This
class is intended for intermediate and advanced students.
NOTE: Class on 4/16 is 5:30-8:30pm. Classes on 4/17th and
4/18th are 9-4pm.
Instructor: Brigitte Woosley - Is a successful, award winning
artist and instructor currently living in Hill Country. Has exhibited
in numerous prestigious shows. Was mentioned as a notable
Texas artist in April issue of Western Art Collector. Is member
of Oil Painters of America and founder of Am. Society of
