The Geology Behind the Scenery -
Favorite!!
Are you curious about the world around
you? Do you wonder why they have so
many earthquakes in far off places like
Indonesia? Or why there is so little soil on
the hilltops hereabouts? Or why the sands
at White Sands NM are white? And what is
this plate tectonics business all about? If
so, then this course is just the ticket for
you. Here you will make enough discoveries
to find the answer to these and many
questions. We will do this with discussions,
illustrative slides, interpretation of maps
and examination of rocks and minerals.
Bring your other questions and your
curiosity. A favorite class.
NOTE: Class will skip 3/18th Spring
Break.
Funeral PrePlanning 101
Consumers do not know their rights when
arranging a funeral. On the very worse day
of their lives, when a love one passes, they
purchase a funeral, having absolutely no
knowledge of state laws. They receive the
brochure Facts about Funerals written by
the Texas Funeral Service Commission,
but by that time it is too late. Most likely
they will not read this brochure. If they do,
the funeral contract has already been written.
This class will be an introduction to
pre-planning funeral arrangements and
cover the bare basics of where to start.
Instructor: Gene Allen - Gene is a
licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
He has spent most of his adult life in community
service having served on numerous
boards, committees, and civic organizations.
John Winstead - John is a licensed preneed
specialist. He has been in the service
industry and serving families for over 3
decades and has served on many boards
and civic organizations.
