Statutory support is intended for those persons who cannot take care of their own affairs as the result
of a psychological illness or due to a physical, mental, or emotional handicap. Support Services
handle these tasks as part of court-appointed guardianship support services for adults. Furthermore,
these Support Services assist the guardianship court in searching for suitable guardians. Upon
request, such guardians may also receive advice and assistance in pursuing their tasks. Support
Services also provide information on guardianship authorizations and living wills.

The Joint Service Centres serve to provide advice and support to persons with disability and persons
threatened by disability, as well as their trustees and authorized caregivers.
Two joint service Centres have been established in the City of Kiel. They are located in the following

As a parent-organized, professional association, we represent a contact for any person affected by
disabilities. Our focus is on advice and support of families with disabled children. We provide advice
on anything related to disabilities. We also support you during the application process and
enforcement of statutory claims or application for financial support from foundations. We maintain
working groups, organize projects, and form the political representation for persons with disability and
