He <strong>is</strong> responsible for CPI’s German oper<strong>at</strong>ions, including<br />
origin<strong>at</strong>ion and execution. Prior to joining CPI, he was a<br />
Director <strong>at</strong> <strong>Real</strong> Est<strong>at</strong>e Capital Partners (CSFB) and Deutsche<br />
Bank’s <strong>Real</strong> Est<strong>at</strong>e Priv<strong>at</strong>e Equity Group, where he was<br />
responsible for <strong>the</strong>ir business in <strong>the</strong> German speaking<br />
markets. In <strong>the</strong>se roles he has led numerous portfolio and<br />
development transactions, pl<strong>at</strong>form investments and NPL<br />
acqu<strong>is</strong>itions in Germany, Central and Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Europe. He<br />
holds a BSc and MSc from <strong>the</strong> London School of Economics<br />
and a MA and PhD from <strong>the</strong> European University <strong>Institute</strong>.<br />

Nicolaus Harnack <strong>is</strong> a director of Situs with responsibility for<br />
<strong>the</strong> firm’s European business. He has 14 years’ experience<br />
in European, Asian, and North American real est<strong>at</strong>e markets.<br />
Mr Harnack began h<strong>is</strong> career <strong>at</strong> Deutsche Bank in Canada. In<br />
1996 he reloc<strong>at</strong>ed to London, where he worked with European<br />
and Asian property investors <strong>at</strong> Richard Ell<strong>is</strong>. Following an<br />
MBA in 2001, Mr Harnack worked in European real est<strong>at</strong>e<br />
investment banking <strong>at</strong> Goldman Sachs; most recently he was<br />
a director of Richmount Management, a priv<strong>at</strong>e equity real<br />
est<strong>at</strong>e fund.<br />
Situs provides real est<strong>at</strong>e adv<strong>is</strong>ory and due diligence services<br />
to property investors, owners, and financial institutions.<br />

Dr. Michael Hermes, Managing Director <strong>Real</strong> Est<strong>at</strong>e, Cerberus<br />
Deutschland Beteiligungsber<strong>at</strong>ung GmbH. Since May 2006, Dr.<br />
Hermes has been handling Cerberus’ real est<strong>at</strong>e activities in<br />
Germany. Prior to th<strong>is</strong> appointment, he was involved for many years<br />
in building up <strong>the</strong> property business of Viterra AG. He held various<br />
posts, of which <strong>the</strong> last one in recent years was th<strong>at</strong> of managing<br />
director of Viterra AG. After <strong>the</strong> l<strong>at</strong>ter was taken over by Deutsche<br />
Annington, he served for 4 months as <strong>the</strong> COO on <strong>the</strong> Management<br />
Board of Deutsche Annington. Before joining Viterra, Dr. Hermes<br />
was employed as a consultant and project manager with <strong>the</strong> Boston<br />
Consulting Group.<br />

Felix Hick <strong>is</strong> a partner with <strong>the</strong> consulting firm mbb and<br />
running <strong>the</strong> priv<strong>at</strong>e equity and real est<strong>at</strong>e practice. Main focus<br />
are value enhancement projects for large real est<strong>at</strong>e portfolios<br />
and intern<strong>at</strong>ional transactions between 100 Mio Euro and<br />
more than a billion Euro. In real est<strong>at</strong>e mbb <strong>is</strong> collabor<strong>at</strong>ing<br />
with Drees & Sommer, leveraging each o<strong>the</strong>rs networks and<br />
competencies. Before, Felix Hick was CEO of a priv<strong>at</strong>e equity<br />
and venture capital firm and managing director of Ernst &<br />
Young’s European consulting activities.
