In addition to in-person events and<br />

meetings, multiple marketing activities<br />

and media were also used to notify the<br />

public throughout the process. Project<br />

leaders also utilized social media to<br />

provide information, opportunities for<br />

engagement and updates about the<br />

process. The Facebook page “Regional<br />

Cities of Northern Indiana” and Twitter<br />

account “Regional Cities” were used to<br />

keep stakeholders aware and engaged of<br />

developments and opportunities available<br />

through the initiative. MACOG developed<br />

a website about the initiative, where the<br />

project application form was posted for<br />

public access [6] . Big Idea Company was<br />

hired to develop videos, photography and<br />

other communications (figure 3). Local<br />

news coverage also provided updates and<br />

information about the process (Exhibit A-6).<br />

The project team anticipates continuing<br />

this type of engagement during the plan<br />

execution period in order to provide<br />

updates to the public, at a minimum on<br />

an annual basis; some updates may be<br />

project-based and occur more frequently<br />

as needed.<br />

Innovate Indiana represents the region’s<br />

shared vision, plan, foundational project<br />

portfolio, and structure for transformative<br />

growth over the next eight years.<br />
