Exhibitions (as demonstrated above): There has been a significant focus on the development and<br />
delivery of relevant exhibitions to engage our visitors and special interest groups with the<br />
collection.<br />
Three major exhibitions were developed to enable the public to learn more about the collection.<br />

techniques used to make the pots in Ralph Hotere’s collection; daily exhibition floor talks by Gallery<br />

There were a total of 85,430 unique website hits (2013, 82,869 unique hits).<br />
In addition to the activities at the Museum, four videos were produced for the Bugs exhibition.<br />
Three of the videos highlighted the research and work of external collaborators: Betta Bees,<br />
AgResearch and Genetics Otago. The fourth was ‘a day in the life’ style video with Otago Museum<br />
Honorary Curator Anthony Harris. They were posted to the Otago Museum’s YouTube channel to<br />
make them accessible to those unable to visit the exhibition in person.<br />

In 2014/15 the number of people reached with off-site activities rose significantly from 2013/14,<br />
with 10,377 people hearing more about the collection and the Museum in 2014/15.
