OUTCOMES INDICATORS PERFORMANCE MEASURES OUTWARD-LOOKING AND INCLUSIVE CULTURE ACHIEVED OR NOT ACHIEVED PERFORMANCE STATUS Encourage the professional development of staff and recruit to broaden the Museum’s knowledge base Figures relating to professional development and training undertaken by staff ACHIEVED: Staff attend nine conferences for professional development and a range of workshops and training courses to broaden Museum knowledge base Staff attended a wide range of conferences. • Thirty-five staff attended as delegates to the Museums Aotearoa conference. Casual and part-time staff were also able to join in sessions on presentation of their staff ID. • Accountants in the Public Sector • Entomological Society of NZ • Executive Assistant Summit • History of Emotions • National Digital Forum • Semi-Permanent • The Big Conversation Other training workshops and courses were as follows: • Forty-two staff had refresher or comprehensive St John First Aid training. • Forty staff attended professional development courses and workshops, from Management to Health and Safety, Museums Studies to training to run the planetarium’s Digistar production and presentation system. 56
