El Seed’s travel
El Seed, French graffiti artist of Tunisian origin is the creator of “calligraffitis“,
a style mixing Arabic calligraphy and graffiti. In 2004 he discovered the art of
calligraphy and began to reinterpret classical Arabic art through a contemporary
visual expression, a perfect mix between East and West. From Doha to Melbourne
and London, Toronto, Los Angeles or Paris, his “calligraffitis“ promote love and
peace. With his first book entitled “Lost Walls“ and his tribute to Tunisia, he gives
life to abandoned stones, forgotten façades, unknown places. After he participated
in the transformation of the minaret of the main mosque in Gabes, the Arab World
Institute and the Tour Paris 13, El Seed currently presents his calligraffitis on the
“Pont des Arts“ in Paris, along with several other artists. This poet of the walls
tells us about his journey.
