A take on the Aperol Spritz, this<br />

Mother’s Day cocktail features<br />

Aperol, fresh-squeezed grapefruit<br />

juice and Prosecco.<br />

One to wow your mum this Mother’s Day,<br />

it’s easy to make and great for serving at brunch.<br />

Aperol, is bright orange in colour and has a<br />

unique bitter-sweet taste derived from a<br />

secret recipe that has remained unchanged<br />

since its creation in Italy. It is available from<br />

most supermarkets.<br />

Method<br />

1. Chill a Champagne flute.<br />

2. Add Aperol and grapefruit juice to the chilled<br />

glass.<br />

Ingredients<br />

• 1 ounce Aperol<br />

• 1 ounce fresh-squeezed<br />

grapefruit juice<br />

• Prosecco<br />

• Grapefruit peel for garnish<br />

3. Top with Prosecco (as much as desired).<br />

4. Garnish with the grapefruit peel.<br />

You can substitute the grapefruit for another fruit<br />

such as strawberries to make this recipe slightly<br />

different.<br />
