We focus particularly on education,<br />
adventure and sports, offering safe,<br />
rewarding and enjoyable travel<br />
experiences for young people aged<br />
6 to 18 years.<br />
Xplore MyChoice specialises in<br />
providing high school placements<br />
for international students wishing<br />
to come to the UK to study for up<br />
to one academic year. Originally<br />
set up in Germany 5 years ago we<br />
have sent thousands of students<br />
abroad on successful high school<br />
placements to a number of English<br />
speaking countries including the<br />
USA, Australia and Canada. During<br />
these placements students are<br />
immersed in the local culture,<br />
studying in local schools and<br />
staying with local families.<br />
Aged between 14 and 18 years<br />
old, our international students are<br />
placed in secondary schools for<br />
up to one academic year. Just like<br />
a local student they will be fully<br />
immersed in to the school system<br />
following regular timetabled classes<br />
and joining in after-school activities<br />
and clubs. Our students have a<br />
high level of English and strong<br />
academic goals for their future.<br />
Their main aim while studying in the UK is to develop their skills<br />
and increase their confidence by using the English language on<br />
a daily basis.<br />
We are looking for families with a dedicated, supportive and<br />
welcoming home environment who are willing to share their<br />
homes with our young international students. Welcoming a<br />
young international student into your home is a rewarding<br />
and enjoyable experience for the whole family and can create<br />
friendships that continue long after the student returns home.<br />
In becoming a host family we do not expect you to change your<br />
everyday family life. In fact far from it, we expect our students<br />
to fully immerse themselves into your household and your daily<br />
routine. By treating the student as your own son or daughter<br />
they will quickly feel part of the family unit and embrace your<br />
culture and way of life. Before arrival in the UK students will<br />
decide on the length of time they will spend here. It is up to you<br />
as the potential host family to let us know how long you would<br />
like to accommodate a student for.<br />
Student welfare is our priority across all programmes and we<br />
provide a comprehensive support service to all the students,<br />
parents and schools that we work with. Once a student has<br />
been successfully placed, our experienced team will be on hand<br />
to offer support for both the student and family. We have a<br />
24-hour emergency phone line and hold regular meetings and<br />
reviews with the student and family.<br />
