was irresistible<br />

and exceeded<br />

expectations.<br />

Rachel was similarly<br />

impressed with her<br />

choice of Pan Roasted<br />

Cod with Parmentier<br />

potatoes, Spinach,<br />

Welsh Mussels and<br />

Saffron Cream Sauce.<br />

Unable to resist, we<br />

both indulged in<br />

the Chocolate Duo;<br />

Chocolate Brownie,<br />

Chocolate Torte and<br />

Pistachio Ice Cream to<br />

conclude a wonderful evening.<br />

The dining room is open to the public as the<br />

Mead’s reputation for exquisite food precedes it.<br />

This is a perfect place to treat a special lady on<br />

Mother’s Day, but be sure to book quickly!<br />

Homemade brownies and thick<br />

creamy milk from a local dairy are<br />

left in each room.<br />

Dinner was served at 8 and the<br />

treats continued. Opening with the<br />

Pigeon Breast with Caramelised<br />

Feta and Baby Beets I wished I had<br />

ordered this again for the main<br />

course. Rachel opted for the Pane’d<br />

Hen’s Egg with Crushed Celeriac,<br />

Truffle Oil and Croutons.<br />

A true taste of luxury in a tranquil, picturesque<br />

surrounding, this is the most relaxed I’ve felt for<br />

as long as I can remember. Rachel and I were sad<br />

to leave the Norfolk Mead but we will be visiting<br />

again soon, and we urge you to do so too.<br />
