Im Mai des Jahres 2000 wurde im Rahmen des dezentralen<br />
EXPO 2000-Projektes „Faszination Boden“ am<br />
Schölerberg in Osnabrück ein Ausstellungspark eröffnet,<br />
der Laien das Thema Boden näher bringt.<br />
Der Park, der sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum <strong>Natur</strong>k<strong>und</strong>emuseum<br />
befindet, ist aus vier Elementen zusammengesetzt:<br />
Ein 60 m langes, geologisches Profil zeigt den<br />
Aufbau des Osnabrücker Landes <strong>und</strong> seines tieferen<br />
Untergr<strong>und</strong>es. Dazu sind die wichtigsten Gesteine der<br />
Region ausgestellt. Ein ca. 1 ha großer Landschaftsgarten<br />
zeigt verschiedene, regionaltypische Bodennutzungen.<br />
Im Zentrum dieses Gartens befindet sich ein Pavillon,<br />
in dem die Böden zu sehen sind, die für die jeweiligen<br />
Landschaften typisch sind. Weiterhin wurde ein <strong>Natur</strong>spielplatz<br />
eingerichtet, <strong>auf</strong> dem sich kleine Bodenk<strong>und</strong>ler<br />
austoben.<br />
<strong>TERRA</strong>.park<br />
The <strong>TERRA</strong>.park was created in May 2000 as a unique<br />
attraction in Germany. It offers insights into the world<br />
<strong>und</strong>er our feet. <strong>TERRA</strong>.park is divided into three parts<br />
including a model of the Park’s landscape with a quarry,<br />
a landscape garden with a pavilion and an adventure<br />
playgro<strong>und</strong>. This outdoor complex was established as<br />
a project for EXPO 2000 and shows how the landscape<br />
developed, what it is composed of and how it is used.<br />
This area of two hectares offers adults, young people and<br />
children the possibility to touch and <strong>und</strong>erstand the basis<br />
for our life.<br />
