Umweltbildungszentren Environmental Education Centres Umweltbildungszentren unterstützen die Schulen bei der erlebnis- und handlungsorientierten Umweltbildung. Außerdem führen sie Projekte in der außerschulischen Jugendbildung und in der Erwachsenenbildung durch. Seit 1990 entstanden im Landkreis Osnabrück neben dem als Regionales Umweltbildungszentrum anerkannten Lernstandort „Noller Schlucht“ zahlreiche weitere Lernstandorte. Gemeinsam bilden die Lernstandorte die „Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Umweltlernstandorte im Osnabrücker Land“ (ARGOS). Environmental education centres support schools in adventure- and action-oriented environmental education. They offer extracurricular projects for teenagers and adults. Apart from the famous regional education centre “Noller Schlucht” several additional environmental education centres were built in the rural areas surrounding Osnabrück since 1990. All of them are members of the so called “Consortium of Environmental Education Centres” in the region of Osnabrück. Noller Schlucht In dem traditionsreichen Gebäude einer ehemaligen Wandergaststätte hat der Osnabrücker Verein zur Förderung des Regionalen Lernens e.V. das regionale Umweltbildungszentrum Noller Schlucht aufgebaut. Es liegt im Mittelpunkt des Landschaftsschutzgebietes Noller Schlucht, das als bevorzugtes Ausflugsziel im südlichen Teutoburger Wald gilt. Autofahrer erreichen den Lernstandort über die Osning-Route (L 94 zwischen Dissen und Melle). Wanderer finden das Haus am Hermannsweg. The education centre “Noller Schlucht” is situated in a former tavern for hikers. It lies in the middle of a landscape conservation area of the same name, which is a popular destination for excursions in the southern part of the Teutoburg Forest. Visitors reach the centre “Noller Schlucht” by car on the “Onsning Route” (L94 between the villages Dissen and Melle). Hikers can find the house on the hiking trail “Hermannsweg”. www.nollerschlucht.org Grafelder Moor und Stift Börstel Die Schwerpunkte des Lernstandortes Grafelder Moor und Stift Börstel sind das Moor und seine Wechselbeziehungen zu der angrenzenden Kulturlandschaft. Schüler, aber auch außerschulisch Interessierte, sind die Zielgruppen dieses Lernstandortes, dessen Träger die Samtgemeinde Fürstenau ist. The marsh lands and their relationship with the adjoining cultural landscape are the focal points of the Education Centre Grafelder Moor and Stift Börstel. The activities of the Centre, which is supported by the Community of Fürstenau, provides academic as well as extracurricular activities. www.stift-boerstel.de Kuhlhoff Der Kuhlhoff ist ein ehemaliger Bauernhof, der zu den ältesten Hofstellen des Ortes Bippen gehört. Heute befindet sich der Hof im Besitz der Gemeinde Bippen und wurde in den letzten Jahren zu einem Informationsund Bildungszentrum umgebaut. Der Ort Bippen, ein staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort, bietet vielseitige Möglichkeiten für Umweltbildungsangebote. The Kuhlhoff is a former farm that belonged to the oldest estate in the village of Bippen. Today the farm is the property of the community of Bippen and was transformed in the last century into a centre for environmental education. Bippen is an officially recognised holiday resort and offers many opportunities for environmental education programmes. www.lernenaufdemlande.de Biologische Station Haseniederung e.V. Die Biologische Station liegt in der Region Ems-Hunte- Geest und Dümmer-Geestniederung in der Nähe des Alfsees. Der Lernstandort bietet Umweltprogramme für Schulklassen und Erwachsenengruppen sowie die Betreuung von Kinder- und Jugendgruppen zur außerschulischen Umwelterziehung. Es besteht u. a. die Möglichkeit für Naturerlebnisspiele, kleine Exkursionen und kreative Beschäftigung mit der Natur. The biological station “Haseniederung” is situated in the region “Ems-Hunte-Geest” and “Dümmer-Geestniederung”. The education centre at the lake “Alfsee” offers environmental programmes for pupils and adults as well as supervision for groups of children and young people during extracurricular environmental education.
